Sebastopol is truly a special place to us, and being a native Sebastopol real estate agent brings us home. Our family grew up in Sebastopol and West Sonoma County, or “West County.” Sierra Bialkin was an El Molino High School lion from the Redwoods of Forestville, while Robert Bialkin was an Analy High School tiger from Sebastopol. We eventually opened our first business in Sebastopol, Honey Moon Frozen Yogurt, which is now best known for fresh fruit, organic froyo, and walls lined with art drawn by it’s smaller customers.  Sebastopol, California is located at the convergence of Highway 116 (Graventstein Hwy) and Highway 12, where it becomes Bodega Avenue only 20 minutes from Bodega Bay and the California Coast along the Pacific Ocean. Sebastopol sits next to the wetlands of the Laguna De Santa Rosa, which give Sebastopol its spacious feel. Sebastopol’s healthy wealthy wise attitude and surroundings seem to invoke imagination and inspiration.

Sebastopol is synonymous with art, so much so that Main St can even support two thriving local retail art stores. Sebastopol is the home of “junk” artist Patrick Amiot, whose elegant but monstrous must-see recycled metal masterpieces tower over the yards that line Florence Ave. Sebastopol’s history is growing, and Luther Burbank chose it for his experimental horticultural farm. Sebastopol’s sandy loam soil, along with its crunchy and artistic green-thumb residents creates a haven for organic road-side art, farms, and food. Sebastopol’s Sunday morning Farmers Market is one of the best in Sonoma County. We often stop by the Strawberry farm stand along Highway 12 on our way into Downtown Sebastopol for berries that were picked minutes earlier. Sebastopol is truly a special place.
